PNBend | Highlights 2025 • Unfolding & Bending

With PNBend, WiCAM is continuously expanding its fully integrated 3D bending solution, including unfolding in PN4000 . In 2025, the focus was particularly on automation, tool intelligence, Z-bends, and machine compatibility.

Smart tool selection

With each update, we further improved tool optimization in order to reduce the number of necessary setups. More precise calculation logic and optimized selection algorithms result in increasingly efficient machining strategies that significantly minimize setup time.

Support for additional control systems

In order to provide our users with maximum manufacturer independence, we have developed several new postprocessors for the bending area and expanded existing ones. Particularly worth highlighting are the newly integrated controllers:

• SafanDarley – E-Control
• SafanDarley – Delem
• Cybelec – ModEva
• Cybelec – VisiTouch

With these upgrades, PNBend now covers an even wider range of modern bending machines and offers significantly wider machine compatibility for a wide variety of manufacturing environments—you can find a complete overview in our current machine list.

Unfolding for milled parts

Another new feature is the ability to automatically process milled parts—a function that is only relevant for selected special applications, but impressively demonstrates how far WiCAM is pushing technological limits. This opens up completely new possibilities for customers with combined sheet metal and milling processes in terms of end-to-end digitalization.
