Levi Meyer manufactures sheet metal components for a wide range of industries, particularly mechanical engineering.
What began as a one-man operation in a small workshop has developed over the years into a versatile metal fabrication company. Levi Meyer founded his business in 2010 and has steadily expanded it through continuous investment in modern manufacturing technologies.
Today, the range of services includes, amongst other things, laser cutting, CNC press braking, welding and sandblasting. As demands on sheet metal processing increased, the further development of laser technology also became a key issue.

Levi Meyer, Managing Director of Industrie- & Schweißermontage Levi Meyer
As early as 2023, Levi Meyer invested in a CO₂ laser cutting system. However, with increasing demands regarding material thicknesses, speed and cost-effectiveness, the need for a new manufacturing solution arose. The main reason for the investment was the desire to be able to process thicker sheets more cost-effectively and to a higher standard. The choice fell on the Hymson HyLaser Pro 3216, distributed by Hymson’s German partner Xteg.
However, this was not solely about processing thick sheet metal. The new system was also expected to prove its capabilities in the thin-sheet sector. This proved successful, as production speed was significantly increased, thereby improving overall production capacity. However, a high-performance laser cutting system alone was not the goal. A software solution capable of optimally harnessing the new machine’s potential was also crucial. And this is where WiCAM comes into play.
Along with the new laser cutting system, Levi Meyer also acquired WiCAM’s PN4000 CAD/CAM programming system via Xteg. The combination of modern laser technology and powerful programming software lays the foundation for more efficient sheet metal fabrication.
Thanks to the post-processor developed specifically for the Hymson HyLaser Pro series, the system can be programmed directly via the PN4000. The software offers extensive options for optimising cutting programmes and material utilisation.

As well as the higher cutting speed, Levi Meyer benefits above all from the optimised workflows in work preparation.
With the PN4000, cutting programmes can be created more quickly and prepared for the Hymson machine. Depending on the job, the programming effort has been reduced by up to 40 per cent. This saves valuable working time and enables jobs to be prepared for production more quickly. At the same time, the improved material utilisation helps to reduce production costs.
The benefits are therefore evident not only directly on the machine, but throughout the entire manufacturing process, from programming right through to the finished component. This illustrates that the decisive boost in productivity does not come from a new machine alone, but from the optimal interaction between hardware and software.
