PNBend Update | New Features Q1 2026 • Unfolding & Bending

With the latest version of PNBend, WiCAM optimises key processes in sheet metal working by implementing further ‘quality of life’ features. The focus here is on faster 2D-to-3D processing, flexible display of bending simulations and simplified profile design.

PNBend Update | Convert DXF to STEP files

• Direct conversion of 2D DXF files into complete 3D models
• Automatic detection of bend lines, angles, radii and allowance values
• Rapid creation of bending programmes including feasibility checks and NC programme output
• CAD changes result immediately in updated 3D models

This feature reduces manual steps and significantly speeds up programming.

New Tool | 3D Bend Viewer for flexible simulation

The 3D Bend Viewer is an optional add-on tool that can be used independently of the main software. It allows you to access and analyse the bending simulation on any computer.

• Automatic generation of the simulation when creating the NC programme
• Display of the machine, component, tools and stop positions in a complete 3D environment
• Ideal for older bending machines without integrated 3D visualisation
• Touchscreen-optimised operation and quick navigation between process steps

The 3D Bend Viewer increases transparency and improves process reliability directly at the machine.

PNBend Update | Profile Editor for simplified profile design

• Creation and editing of 3D profiles directly in PNBend
• Adjustment of parameters such as length, angle and radius in real time
• Use of standard profiles or custom designs
• Conversion of 2D CAD drawings into finished 3D profiles

The Profile Editor expands design possibilities and enables significantly more efficient component creation. The new PNBend version thus offers comprehensive optimisation of bending programming and helps companies save time and avoid errors.
